It has always been difficult to express to my brothers and sister, how I felt about the passing of their beloved mother, Ka Susing, who left us behind so suddenly many years ago. We were all so young back then, not truly understanding why such sadness and great loss happens in our lives. Now that our beloved father and brother, Ka Roger has passed away, let us find comfort and strength in our hearts, knowing that both beloved parents served the living God until the very end. They raised 3 beautiful, talented, gifted, God fearing children, my best friends, my brothers and sister, Manong Ron, Manong Jun and Jane, and led them, as did our own parents, in dedicating their lives to serve The only true God in heaven. God blessed you three with the best parents in the world. We will always remember them, their humility, their good works, their kind hearts, most of all, their love for you and their love and dedication to God, our Lord Jesus Christ and His church. Last June, dad received a special phone call from Ninong Roger. Ninong Roger called because he wanted to tell my dad “goodbye.” My dad was deeply saddened, but felt truly fortunate to have had an opportunity to speak with his best friend one last time. This saddened all of us and we prayed to God to please grant our beloved Ka Roger more time, better health, and a full recovery from his illness. God answers our prayers and sometimes it is not the answer we seek. We will accept His will, knowing that He loves us and will grant us eternal rest, peace and joy, not here in this temporal world, but there in the holy city where we will all meet again. My dad will never have another friend and brother like Ka Roger. He was my dad’s best friend, from beginning to end. Ka Roger, my ninong will always be remembered for being the gentle, caring and supportive father, strong and faithful servant of God. The Edralin’s are a very special family, you’re one in a zillion. You all will always be close to our hearts. We love you dear brothers and sister. May you always find comfort and strength in the loving arms of our Lord God Almighty. Love and Prayers, from your sister and friend, Mylene del Rosario Manahan and FAMILY
